World Downs Syndrome Swimming Championships 2010
Ben Sweeney won a remarkable 15 medals and set a new world record at the recent World Downs Syndrome Swimming Championships in Taiwan.
17-year old Ben, won 2 Golds and 2 Bronzes in the individual races, 6 medals from the heats and 5 more medals from the team relay races. On top of all that he set a world record in the 100 metres backstroke, with a time of 1min 33.05sec.
Ben now has his sights firmly set on the next championships in Italy and a little matter of the Olympics in 2012.
