National Lifesaving Championships at Ponds Forge on 3rd and 4th March 2012

A total of 444 individual swimmers in mainly 3 age groups from all over Great Britain competed in almost 2,000 lane events in the annual national competition.  Despite illnesses and injuries and this being their first competition the girls achievements were nothing short of brilliant .

15/17 Individual: LEANNE DAVIS 100m Obstacle Swim from 60  entries achieved 11th Position

12/14 TEAM: HOLLIE CLEMITSHAW, KATRIONA MILLAR, COURTNEY MASSEY, LORNA RUSTON

4 x 50 Obstacle Relay achieved 5th Position 10M Rope Throw Relay – did not finish along with a number of other teams 4 x 25 Mannikin Relay – disqualified for a faulty wall touch (time would have put them in 4th) 4 x 50 Medley Relay – achieved 3rd Position BRONZE MEDALLION- set a new national record and held it for about 5 minutes

15/17 TEAM: ABI CLEMITSHAW, LEANNE DAVIS, LEAH TIERNEY, ALICE RUSTON, KIMBERLEY ROBINSON

4 x 50 Obstacle Relay achieved 5th Position 12M Rope Throw Relay – did not finish along with a number of other teams 4 x 25 Mannikin Relay – achieved 7th position 4 x 50 Medley Relay – achieved 2nd Position SILVER MEDALLION

Well done to all of you  – you should be really proud of yourselves
